How Often Can You Apply to Expunge or Seal your Record?

I should mention that you’re only allowed to do this once in your lifetime for one case. Let’s say you’ve had two cases in your past and maybe you were, in both circumstances, incorrectly charged, even if those cases are dismissed, you’re only able to seal or expunge one of them in your lifetime. That’s something that people need to consider as well.

A Personal Review

If you’ve had some past arrests but you’re not exactly sure what’s going to show up on your background, you can do your own background check for yourself and it’s called a personal review. What you can do is you can get your fingerprints done, send it to Tallahassee, and get your own background search. That’s probably one of the first steps to do if you’ve had more than one case and you need to decide which one to seal or expunge.
