What a first-time offender should be aware of

Interviewer: What is important for a first-time offender to know?

Ladan Law: For a first time offender, there are a host of resources available for someone that has been accused of possessing drugs.

We go through the analysis of whether the stop and the search were legal, whether the object found was indeed something used for ingesting drugs or was illegal contraband or an illegal drug. That would be determined through testing. We’re well familiar with the process that needs to happen to get the answers we need.

But if our analysis reveals that police haven’t violated your rights, and the substance turns out to be cocaine, we have to figure out how we’re going to resolve the case.
