BOCA RATON, FL – 59 year old physical therapist, Diane Siwek of Park Place Circle, was arrested for driving under the influence causing property damage during the accident.
Physical therapists are seen helping drunk drivers recover from ramifications of their actions. It is odd how Siwek could not restrain herself from the same act.
After the accident, Siwek was taken to the Boca Raton Police Department, where she was questioned by investigators and underwent a breathalyzer test. The results from the breath samples came as .167 and .164. The legal limit in the state of Florida is .08. She was booked at Palm Beach County Jail and was later released on her own recognizance.
The state of Florida takes a drunk driving charge very seriously, with penalties including jail sentence and paying expensive fines and legal fees. A first time DUI offense in the state of Florida with BAL (Blood Alcohol Levels) above 0.15 carries a maximum jail time of 9 months and fines ranging from $1,000 to $2,000. The offender may also be required to install an ignition interlock device and may have their vehicle impounded for 10 days and their license suspended from 180 days to 1 year.
